![]() Tuning up and down and flipping switches in the SDRAngel control panel eventually fixes it.įinally, if you're interested in the HF bands, there's a small hardware modification you might want to do down the line, removing an inductor from the PCB which limits performance down in the low VHF/HF region to slightly improve it around 900MHz. ![]() ![]() The slightly-janky software support may be confined to Linux SDRAngel-haven't tried anywhere else yet-but sometimes it gets confused when tuning, and I can't get strong stations I was able to pick up moments before. You may also run into images from broadcast TV stations. The LimeSDR doesn't have any front-end filtering at all, while it's my understanding that the RTLSDR dongles do-you'll almost certainly want AM/FM notch filters, if you're doing anything close to those bands. The two big issues are a) filters, and b) still-slightly-janky software support. I'm kind of coming around on my LimeSDR (the Mini, not the full-fat version) after some shortwave listening last night-I've given it a hard time in part because of its sensitivity, but I can't deny that when it's properly tuned, it picks up an awful lot.
